My name is  I had been a free standing boutique in the East Village, & then on The Lower Eastside, NYC, for a total of 5 1/2 years. But as of 2003, I became solely an online boutique located right here at mshopnyc.com. I feature exclusive garments, accessories, art & furniture by extremely talented designers/artists like: 
(designed by Lala & I). Also: HE menswear, handcrafted bags & shoes by Lincoln's New York, SDN menswear, Ricardo Cortes works of art, lingerie by MCQuaters, furniture by Sexy Furnishings, and my own M Shop line, to name a few.
I'm not your run-of-the-mill online boutique. I showcase an eclectic collection of specialty items, that have distinct personality, for women & men who know fashion, and have their own sense of style and vision. The bottom line is that I have something for everyone who loves looking fabulous! New items are added every week. My creator has an extensive fashion background having studied fashion at Howard University and F.I.T.. She worked in manufacturing & production for numerous years in the Garment Center, NYC; styled music videos & commercials; is a trend forecaster; an instructor at Parsons The New School For Design; writes the monthly column, "Fashion Speaks" for Fashion Mannuscript magazine, and co-founded the fashion event now called Fashion Flipside to revitalize the L.E.S. after 911.
