| Chrissy Milo Sculptor Extraordinaire |
Christine Milo graduated from the Rhode
Island School of Design with her BFA in 2001.
She began making metal work after having to spend
time in the metal foundry at RISD. What was
once an intimidating atmosphere slowly became a
comfortable, creative environment where Chrissy
could finally compete with the guys.
Although she believes in making sculpture that is just
aesthetically pleasing, she would rather make work
that looks interesting as well as functions - "It gives
the work and myself more purpose."
Chrissy is currently putting together an exhibition of
local artists entitled 'What You See Is What You
Have' at 3rd Rail, Art Studio/ Gallery
Space at 49 Plain Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10801.
The dates of the exhibition are June 17 - July
15. Opening reception is Saturday, June 17
from 7-10 pm. The gallery is open to the public
