| Save the Date for Line Debut Fashion Show |
The 8th annual Line Debut on May 10, 2007, serves as
a platform to showcase the best and brightest in the
AAS Fashion Studies Program at Parsons The
New School For Design. Already generating a
great deal of buzz, Line Debut offers the fashion
industry, press, faculty, students, & special guests a
peak at emerging design talent. The event includes a
Pre-show Cocktail Reception for industry & press, an
Alumni Award Presentation where a graduate of the
program is honored for their achievements in the
industry, the Runway Fashion Show presenting 75
looks from graduating seniors selected by jury, and an
off-site After Party. The work showcased during Line
Debut will undoubtedly make a lasting impact on the
NYC fashion scene.

M Shop who has rocked out a NYC boutique;
are E-commerce website owners; teach at Parsons;
produce tons of Fashion Shows & Special Events for
designers, retailers, and corporations nationwide;
have a Public Relations arm; are Fashion &
Manufacturing Consultants; have their own successful
line (M Shop); a partnership with 24/Seven, and have
dressed everyone on the A-List including Mary J Blige,
Lenny Kravitz, Pharell, L'il Kim, and Shakira.
The workshops have been attended by Chris
Stokes (Music Producer and Film Director),
Marques Houston (Recording Artist and
Actor), and their LA team to gain fashion industry
knowledge for their new high end line Christopher
Brian Apparel.

| First Annual Independent Handbag Designer Awards |
Handbag Designer 101, the handbag designer
resource, invites you to compete in the first annual
Independent Handbag Designer Awards, its new and
innovative competition. Win a chance to present your
handbag at a high profile New York event at the
Museum of the City of New York and compete for
one of 6 Awards for Handbag Design Excellence, a
monetary prize, international recognition and a chance
to have your handbag go on a marketing press tour.
Handbag Designer 101 is now accepting designer
submissions in the following categories:
- Best Student Made Handbag
- Best Handmade Handbag
- Most Socially Responsible Handbag
- Celebrity's Favorite Handbag
- Audience-Selected Handbag
- Best Handbag in Overall Style & Design
The deadline for entry is Sunday, April 15, 2007.
Submissions will be reviewed at a Prescreening
Event in late April. Five finalists in each category will be
chosen. All finalists will be invited to participate in the
First Annual Independent Handbag Designer Awards
on June 20, 2007 at the Museum of the City of
New York in New York City. The finalist's handbags
will be presented in a static installation at the event.
Over 250 members of the fashion industry, including
press and retailers, will attend the event. A Fashion
Panel of esteemed and influential handbag design
professors, experts, editors, stylists, and buyers will
judge the designs presented and select a winner of
Best Handbag in each respective category.
