This past Sunday, all of Fort Greene, Brooklyn came out
to the once crazy Myrtle Ave to gather around like true
Americans & watch the Olympic torch run through the
hood-
Fun was had by All, even my dogs.
Summer in the City--
Go to a play, take a day cruise, or just lounge at the
movies! A few good play's are The Big Buzzz -A Raisin in
the Sun with our favorite rated next Oprah, doing all
his stuff cat- P. Diddy. Or watch Puppets cuss and act
crazy in Avenue Q. Need a movie break?
Go support Michael Moore's new flick 9/11. Find out
the other side of the story you don't hear on CNN. Or
for a lighter flick, I loved The Stepford Wive's. Funny
and way campy! AWESOME WARDROBE!!!!
Tomorrow night Six Degrees Records presents a
special occasion at CIELO Tuesday, June 22nd, from
10:00pm - 2:00am, Bebel Gilberto's album release party.
CIELO is at 18 Little West 12th Street, it's $5.00 to get
in.
Cruelty to animals--
PETCO will pay almost $900,000 to settle Animal
Mistreatment Lawsuits that stemmed from charges that
they mistreated animals and overcharged customers. In
San Francisco, city inspectors and customers
documented
many disturbing facts: sick and dying animals were
being kept in freezers, untreated animals were suffering
from contagious diseases, animals were being held in
unclean enclosures with no water, freezers were filled
with dead birds, and reptiles and fish were being left
dead in display tanks, according to City Attorney
