Elle Magazine & StyleLounge's Alternative to Showing in the NYC Spring '05 Fashion Week Tents

StyleLounge is offering designers a Hot & Inexpensive Alternative to the NYC Fashion Week Tents to host their Spring '05 fashion shows for high-profiled media and VIP's. They offer an all inclusive front and back of house production, 36' lighted T-shape runway, backstage dressing room and make up rooms, seating for up to 230 and standing room for up to 300 guests, opportunity to install custom decor, visuals and installations for each showcasing designer, after parties, gift bags, performances, etc. Additionally, designers will have guaranteed media and press through ELLE & ELLEgirl Magazines and the 2005 StyleLounge press and promotion efforts. Participating designers must supply their own models.
The venue is Show Nightclub (adjacent to the tents) at 135 W. 41st St., NYC. Fee: $8,000/show for 2.5 hour total event, rehearsal, production, etc. Showings - Wed Sep 8, 2004 - Fri, Sept 10, 2004. Interested designers should contact Joey Jalleo.

The work of 20 visual artists will be presented during an evening of live music. This show includes the magically awesome work of Delilah Fawn.
Opening Friday at M1-5, 52 Walker St @ Broadway, 2 blocks south of Canal. Starts at 7:30pm, there will be live mcs and musical guests after 11.

Paralee's Peace offers Sewing Classes for children (12 years & under), & adults that cover... Hand Stitching Techniques; Basic Sewing Machine Techniques & Threading; Garment Shaping; Darts, Pleats, & Gathers; Basic Fabric Knowledge; Making Bottonholes, Closures, and Zippers; & Work with Simple Patterns.

Calling All Fashion & Accessories Designers!

Forward, the NYC fashion incubator subsidized by the Lower Eastside BID, is having an open house to select new design talent on Tuesday, August 10th, 6:30-8:30pm. At 72 Orchard Street. Funky Lala & M Shop will act as members of the selection committee.
Forward gives new designers the opportunity to: run, manage, & operate Forward for 6 mos; profit from sales of individual merchandise; design collections in store's workspace:access to computers, cutting tables, & sewing machines.
