Chrissy graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with her BFA in 2001. Since then she has been working at Argos Art Casting Foundry in Brewster, NY.
She began making metal work after having to spend time in the metal foundry at RISD. What was once an intimidating atmosphere slowly became a comfortable, creative environment where Chrissy could finally compete with the guys.
Although she believes in making sculpture that is just aesthetically pleasing, she would rather make work that looks interesting as well as functions - "It gives the work and myself more purpose."
While working at Argos, Christine is also working on new projects at 3rd Rail Studio, an art studio/ gallery space in New Rochelle, NY. She is currently putting together an exhibition of local artists entitled 'What You See Is What You Have' at 3rd Rail.
She also created the AAS Stacie Nipps Alumni Award for Parsons The New School For Design's Line Debut Fashion Show in May 2006. The steel cast/marble base award which represents a flowing swatch of fabric, will be presented each year to an exceptional Parsons Alumni during the fashion show.
